Postal Try Ons

POSTAL TRY ONS

Not based in Hamilton/Waikato? Our Postal Try On Service allows you to try 1–3 dresses at home before booking for your event.

Postal try ons are 50% off the standard rental price using code POSTALTO at checkout.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Check your event date first
    If you already know your event date, check that the dress is available for your event before booking a try on. Existing event bookings always take priority.

  2. Choose your try-on date
    Select your preferred delivery date when booking. Preferably this would be a 2 day try on Thursday - Friday, if Thursday is not available select a 4 day rental Friday - Monday (you won't be charged more) and we will still aim for it to arrive Thursday to be posted back to us on Friday. If a Thursday or Friday does not suit you can book a different day however we may get in touch to confirm this. Ideally do not book a postal try on further than 3 weeks in advance of the current date. If you select a date further in advance, we may contact you to move your try on closer to the delivery date where required to accommodate event bookings.

  1. Add your event date
    If you would like to book the dress for an upcoming event, add your event date to "Please add delivery instructions and/or event date here" box on the cart page before checking out. If the dress is currently available for your event, we will place a temporary hold on it while you complete your try on. This hold expires 24 hours after your postal try on is delivered.

  1. Use code POSTALTO
    Enter POSTALTO at checkout to receive 50% off your rental price.

  2. Select shipping
    Choose the $15 shipping option at checkout. Postal try ons are currently available to non-rural addresses only.

  3. Try on at home & return
    Your dress(es) will arrive with security tags attached. Try them on at home and return your parcel by handing it over the counter at an NZ post office in the return bag provided the following business day by 4pm.

Trying more than one dress?
You can include up to 3 dresses in one postal try on order, provided they are all available to try on the same date.

Found the one?
If you've provided your event date and we've placed a hold on the dress, you'll have 24 hours from delivery to secure your event booking before the hold is released.

Love your dress?
Leave a positive review on the dress's product page after your try on and we'll email you a 15% discount code to use towards booking it for your event.

POSTAL TRY ON TERMS

By booking a Postal try on, you agree that:

  • Postal try on fees are non-refundable if a garment does not fit or is unsuitable.

  • Security tags must remain attached at all times. If a tag is removed, or a garment appears to have been worn beyond trying on, you may be charged the full rental price.

  • You are responsible for the garment while it is in your care and our standard Rental Agreement continues to apply.

  • Postal try ons are not available to rural addresses.

  • Postal try ons may be unavailable over public holiday weekends.

  • Returns must be handed over the counter at a Post Office by 4pm on the following business day after delivery. A $20 per day late fee applies to overdue returns.

  • Event bookings always take priority over postal try ons.

  • Before Midnight Rentals reserves the right to restrict or remove postal try on availability where required.

  • As our garments are rental pieces, their condition may change between your try on and your event booking. We will communicate any significant changes that we become aware of.
